How To Add LinkedIn Post Results To Your Campaign

Last updated on
July 23, 2025

Turn LinkedIn post reactions into warm, outreach‑ready leads in minutes. If people are already engaging with your content (or content about your space), SalesHero can pull those engaged users, enrich them, and queue them for AI‑personalized messaging. Fast path from content to pipeline.

Watch the Tutorial

Here's a 1 minute video that goes through the process.

When To Use This Import

Use this flow when a LinkedIn post (yours, a teammate's, or relevant industry content) is getting meaningful engagement from people who match your ICP. Instead of manually clicking every reactor, pull them all into a SalesHero campaign and follow up while intent is fresh.

Great for:

  • Capturing high‑intent leads who already showed interest.
  • Turning event, launch, or announcement post engagement into meetings.
  • Rapid follow‑up after viral or high‑reach content.
  • Social listening on competitor / industry posts (when visible to you).

What You Need First

  • The LinkedIn post URL (must be visible in your account; public or network‑visible).
  • A SalesHero account.

Optional but helpful:

  • A message sequence that references the post topic.
  • A campaign naming convention (ex: 2025Q3 Launch Post Reactors).
  • Tags for segmenting by engagement type (Liked, Commented, Reposted).

Step 1 – Find a High‑Engagement Post on LinkedIn

  1. Locate a post with solid engagement from the right audience. Your own post works best, but any visible post is fine.
  2. Click the reactions count to review who engaged. Check that the people are on‑ICP.
  3. Skim comments. Commenters often show stronger intent than passive reactors.
  4. Confirm you can see the list (privacy limits matter; if you cannot see them, SalesHero cannot import them).

Tip: Engagement quality beats raw numbers. Fifty on‑ICP reactors outperform five thousand random likes.

Step 2 – Copy Link To Post

At the top right of the post:

  1. Click the 3 dots (More) menu.
  2. Select Copy link to post.
  3. Copy the full URL from the dialog or your browser bar.
  4. Keep it unchanged. Do not shorten the link.

Step 3 – Paste the Post URL Into SalesHero

  1. Open SalesHero.io.
  2. Go to Campaigns. Create a new campaign or open an existing one.
  3. Choose Add Leads (Import).
  4. Select LinkedIn Post URL.
  5. Paste the URL you copied.
  6. Click Import.

SalesHero will fetch the list of engaged users tied to that post.

Step 4 – SalesHero Pulls & Enriches Engaged Users

SalesHero automatically:

  • Collects people who reacted, commented, or reshared (when visible).
  • Pulls profile names, titles, companies, and locations.
  • Captures engagement context (ex: comment text snippet) when available.
  • Preps records for AI‑personalized outreach.
  • Flags duplicates against existing campaigns.

Review the imported list:

  1. Spot check top 10. Are these truly warm / relevant?
  2. Tag by engagement strength (Comment > React > View where data exists).
  3. Remove obvious junk (bots, vendors, students if not target).
  4. Save changes.

Step 5 – Personalize and Launch Outreach

  1. Select or create a message sequence that references the post: "Saw you engage with our post on..." or similar.
  2. Enable AI personalization to inject post topic, engagement type, or comment snippet.
  3. Set schedule and daily send limits.
  4. Start the campaign.

Track connection accepts, replies, and pipeline in your SalesHero dashboard.

Performance Benchmarks (What Teams See After Switching)

  • 50%+ connection acceptance vs typical cold baselines.
  • About 2x higher reply rates.
  • ~50% lower cost per lead (time + tools saved).

Your numbers will vary. Use these as directional targets when optimizing.

Quick Troubleshooting

  • Nothing imported?
Make sure the post is still live and visible to you. Copy the link again and retry.
  • Missing some reactors?
LinkedIn may hide full lists (privacy / network limits). Open the full reactions modal before copying; still hidden users cannot be imported.
  • Wrong post?
Confirm the URL points to a specific post, not a feed permalink or screenshot.
  • Duplicates?
SalesHero auto‑dedupe across campaigns. If you need strict filtering, bulk remove after import.
  • Viral post slow to load?
Large engagement counts may import in batches. Leave the tab open or refresh status in Campaigns.

Best Practices: Converting Engagement Into Pipeline

  • Act fast (within 24‑48 hours) while the post is still top of mind.
  • Prioritize commenters and meaningful reactors (ex: target titles) first.
  • Reference the post topic in your opener to anchor context.
  • Offer something additive to the post (resource, quick call, template).
  • Segment by engagement type for tone: commenter outreach can be more direct; reactors get a lighter touch.
  • Use region or industry tags to tailor follow‑ups.
  • Target posts from market leaders to attract ready-to-buy prospects.

FAQ

  • Does this work with company page posts?
Yes, if you can view the engagement list under your LinkedIn login.
  • Can I import a post I did not author?
Yes, as long as you have visibility to the engaged users (subject to LinkedIn limits).
  • How many engaged users can I pull?
Depends on your SalesHero plan and LinkedIn visibility. Very large posts may import in batches.
